Domain Registration

A domain name is your address on the World Wide Web.  As long as the domain name you want is not already used, you are free to register it at any time.  It's a fairly simple process, and nothing special is required to do it.  However, if you aren't sure how to do it or simply don't have the time, we will be happy to go through the process for you.  We may request contact information and other personal information (such as a credit card number) for your domain registration, but this is only to assure that you have full ownership of the domain name.  Some other companies buy the domain themselves, so they legally own it and "allow" you to use it.  This can get tricky with an unscrupulous or vindictive designer; if you make them mad, they can "hold your domain hostage".  Seriously, it's happened before.  When you allow Delphinus Web Design to register your domain name, we will simply act as your representative, and everything will be done in your name.
